Description
Das Labs Woke AF Black
The high-stimulant end of the Bucked Up range — considerably stronger than BAMF, and one of the harder-hitting products on our shelf.
⚠ Start at half a scoop
We say this on every high-stimulant page and we mean it here.
Intensity at this level is not predictable from how you handle coffee. Products like this combine caffeine with additional stimulants, and how you respond to that combination is a separate question from your caffeine tolerance.
- Half a scoop in 8 to 12oz of water, 20 to 30 minutes before training
- Build to a full scoop only once you know how you respond
- Never more than one serving in 24 hours
- Count your caffeine across the whole day, coffee included — the FDA cites 400mg for healthy adults
Half a scoop of this is stronger than a full scoop of many pre-workouts.
⚠ The tolerance trap
The most useful thing we can tell anyone buying at this level, and it will save you money.
Caffeine tolerance builds with regular exposure. Run something this strong every session and within a few months you will need more than it to feel the same thing — and there is very little above this range that is sensible to take.
You end up in a corner: spending more, feeling less, with nothing left to escalate to.
The way out is to keep an everyday product moderate and save this for the sessions that genuinely warrant it. That way it still works when you reach for it.
And if you have already hit the ceiling, the answer is a two-week stimulant deload rather than a stronger tub. Tolerance resets faster than people expect.
⚠ Stimulants partly work against your pump
Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor. Citrulline and glycerol are vasodilators. They oppose each other to a degree, which is why the strongest product does not always deliver the best pumps.
If pumps are a priority, a moderate-stimulant pre-workout plus a separate stim-free pump product frequently works better than one very strong tub.
How to read the label
The five checks that work on any pre-workout:
- Citrulline: pure or malate? Malate is roughly a third malic acid, so 8g of malate delivers about 5.3g of actual citrulline. The researched range is 6 to 8g of actual — full detail on our L-Citrulline page
- Beta-alanine should be 3.2g. The tingle is paraesthesia — harmless, fades with use, and tells you nothing about efficacy
- Betaine should be 2.5g if present
- Total caffeine, counted against your whole day
- Any proprietary blend? If so, none of the above is checkable
Where it sits on our caffeine ladder
| NutraBio Base | 200mg | Where beginners should start |
| God of War | Moderate | Balanced daily driver |
| BAMF | Focus-weighted | Same family, nootropic |
| Woke AF Black | High | Experienced users only |
| DEFY | 450mg | Top of the range |
Come and ask us. Our staff earn no commission, and matching a pre-workout to how much caffeine you already have in your day is the most useful thing we do at the counter.

How to take it
- Half a scoop to start, 20 to 30 minutes before training.
- One serving maximum in 24 hours.
- Morning or early afternoon. Not within six hours of bed.
- Not alongside another stimulant product — including energy drinks and fat burners.

Who this is for
- Experienced pre-workout users with established stimulant tolerance
- Anyone whose current product has stopped doing anything
- People training heavy in the morning or early afternoon
- Anyone who wants intensity on their hardest sessions
Who this is not for
Beginners. Start with something at 200mg and climb slowly over months.
Anyone with anxiety — high-stimulant blends are among the most likely products to trigger it.
Anyone who wants focus rather than stimulation. BAMF is the nootropic option in the same family.
Anyone with high blood pressure or a heart condition, without speaking to a doctor.
Anyone training in the evening.
Anyone on mood or blood pressure medication, without medical advice.
Tested athletes should check the full panel against their federation's list.
Not for anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing.
Stack it with: a stimulant-free pump product, which addresses what the stimulants work against, and creatine daily.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I take?
Half a scoop to start, whatever your tolerance. Intensity at this level is not predictable from how you handle coffee.
Is it good for beginners?
No. Start around 200mg of caffeine and work up over months.
How is it different from BAMF?
Woke AF Black is the higher-stimulant option. BAMF is weighted toward focus and nootropics.
Can I take it every session?
You can, but tolerance builds quickly and there is little stronger available. Save it for heavy days.
What if nothing works any more?
A two-week break from stimulants rather than a stronger product. Tolerance resets faster than people expect.
Do stimulants hurt my pump?
Partly. Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor while citrulline is a vasodilator, so they oppose each other to a degree.
Why does it make me tingle?
Beta-alanine — harmless paraesthesia that fades with regular use.
How much caffeine is too much?
The FDA cites 400mg daily for healthy adults, including coffee.
Awesome product. Works as described. Coalition Nutrition is great- sent lots of extras with my order. Definitely will order again from them.
